Where it all began…
My name is Jack, and in 2024 I founded Swedish Makers. I’ve been passionate about Volvos for nearly a decade, starting with my first Volvo in 2016—a gold 240 saloon that I got for free. It had been sitting unused since 1996, but with some work, I got it running and proudly drove it as my daily for years. I still have that 240, along with a rare 242GT (a real gem in the UK) and an XC70. Over the years, I’ve owned several 940s and have always enjoyed the process of restoring and enhancing these classic cars.
By profession, I’m an Engineering Consultant, and I love a challenge, especially when it comes to making cars do what they weren’t initially designed to do. From turbocharging 240s to building a fully forged stroker engine for my 242GT, I find a lot of joy in designing and modifying Volvos. With a passion for CAD, I’m always exploring new designs and parts to improve the functionality of these vehicles.
The UK supply of quality Volvo parts can be unpredictable, and that inspired me to start Swedish Makers. My goal is to provide dependable, high-quality parts that are delivered on time—parts I’d trust on my own cars.
